Added: 03-24-2008
Join host Marc Ryan, L.Ac., as he visits with UCLA Registered Dietician, Deborah Novak as they discuss the truth about soda. Most people by now are aware that soda has no nutritional value whatsoever, but many seem ignorant of its other less than virtuous qualities. Example? It represents 21% of the average American's total consumption of sugar. In addition to adding handesomely to the obesity epidemic it turns out that the phosphoric acid disolves tooth enamel and disrupts the absorption of calcium from your bones leading to oesteoporosis in the older folks and kids with broken bones. Diet soda is, of course,no better and has recently been revealed for the marketing fraud that it is. While soda has largely been removed from school vending machines (though diet soda is still permitted) it has not been moved from its ubiquitous placement in every fast food restaurant and convenience store on the planet. Learn just how much you don't want to suck down that 32 ounces of pain. Plus, free prizes, IM woman Jolane Rae, Green Health News and more!
