Hobbit Dominates The Box Office Again – AMC Movie News
The box office results are in for the first official weekend of 2015 and they break down like this:
Coming in at the #1 spot for the 3rd week in a row is the final Hobbit movie THE BATTLE OF THE FIVE ARMIES taking in just under $22 million dollars, bringing its domestic total to over $220 million and its world wide total to over $722 million. In the #2 position is the new Disney film INTO THE WOODS taking in just over $19 million dollars. In 3rd spot is Angelina Jolie directed film UNBROKEN making just over $18 million in its 2nd weekend. In 4th place is THE WOMAN IN BLACK 2: ANGEL OF DEATH making just over $15 million on its opening weekend. And rounding out the top 5 is the latest NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM: SECRET OF THE TOMB taking in just under $14.5 million dollars in its 3rd weekend of release.
